Robert Pittman – President and CEO

With over 35 years of print experience, Robert Pittman is the face of SMP. After 23 years working at Trend Offset Printing, where he rose from inserter to partner, he then served as president for ABC/ Capital Cities for three years and opened up two successful printing companies. Then in 2000 he opened up SMP. He is also currently publishing two national news stand magazines giving him a far better understanding of a publisher’s needs. Robert was also the 1989 “Entrepreneur of the Year” and has worked from top to bottom in the printing industry specializing in cost reduction and streamlining publishing operations. His pedigree in printing knowledge is unmatched in the industry.

Nicole Pittman – Executive Vice President

Nicole started her career with her father, Robert Pittman, at Trend Offset Printing eleven years ago and has remained with him ever since. She has since accrued skills in customer service and extensive print knowledge, making her one of the most professional print managers out there. Following her father to SMP, Nicole handles the day-to-day operations including collections, budgeting and account management. Nicole’s capabilities focus on details and complicated print projects, driving the production to meet and beat expectations.

Craig Vaughan – Customer Service Manager

With over 35 years of working with Robert, Craig has run stripping, planning, bindery and scheduling for many years garnering a vast knowledge of all aspects of printing. As an experienced customer service trainer, he understands all the intricacies related to complicated print jobs. With a combination of practical knowledge and out of the box innovation, Craig always has the answer for the most cost effective and efficient means of printing. Specializing in project analysis, cost reduction strategies and product guidance, Craig is truly a master printer.

Mark Allen – Sales Manager

Recruited heavily by Robert and Nicole, Mark has over 15 years of hands on printing knowledge. Mark is by far one of the most knowledgeable printing salesmen in the industry ensuring professional communication between the printer and the customer guaranteeing a perfect product that is both on time and within the expected budget. A truly driven salesman, his customers can rest assured his follow through and attention to detail means their work is carefully monitored from inception to product delivery.

Dan Harkey- General Manager

Dan has run the entire gamut of roles in printing from apprenticeship to one of the industry’s top professionals. Having been production manager, plant manager and general manager, Dan has seen his share of production and the solutions needed to produce a quality product and the one to turn to for problem solving. The ability to successfully streamline the entire process of printing from management of sales to shipping the product out is what makes Dan stand out.
